The summer Olympics are here and I am amazed at how skilled and talented these athletes are! I dislike them for reminding me how out of shape I am. Every day I sit behind a desk staring at a computer screen for hours on end and only to go home to watch other people show off their physical attributes on television. Maybe some of you will understand where I’m coming from. I admire the Olympian athletes though, for their endurance and dedication – I mean, these people are the BEST of the BEST in the WORLD. How amazing is that? Then there are the Olympic commercials that encourage us to run, go for the dream, or simply JUST DO SOMETHING. Your television shows, games, internet will still be there when you come back. So take a break from all of them and take care of your body. As Nike puts it, “Game on, World.”
For those of you who are regulars at working out, I salute you. The team here at NZXT has heard many of you saying how much you like our “You MOD Bro?” shirt, so now is your chance to win one. Please share with us what you do to stay in shape, I’d like to know. It can be anything from chasing kids around the house to P90X or Insanity Workout. You have until Monday 12pm PST 8/13/2012 to enter, entries must be on Facebook comments to this blog. The winner will be announced at 5PM PST on Facebook.

Hey guys, Kitty reporting in. I thought I would take the time this week to blog about events. In case you didn’t know, I work with the marketing team here at NZXT. Part of my job includes attending events for NZXT which is everything from conventions, LANs, esports tournaments and more. I absolutely love going to events. I’ve been attending conventions such as Comic Con, MLG, CES, E3 and PAX for a year now. As tiring as they are, I really love meeting people who are just as passionate and interested in video games, comics and tech as I am. It’s been great working at events for NZXT because I love hearing feedback from the community about what they would like to see.
So my question to you guys is, have you seen NZXT at an event and did you like it? What did you like that we did at the event and what would you like to see that we didn’t do? Would you prefer to see us exhibit more at big events like PAX or be more active at esports tournaments and LANs. I’d love to hear your feedback on what else we could do and I hope to see you at the events! I will be at GESL this weekend so maybe I will catch some of you guys there! :)

Last week I was incredibly fortunate enough to attend CES with a handful of coworkers to represent NZXT. The idea of this excited me beyond believe. Enjoying technology all of my life, attending CES was always my dream. I could not wait to get there and see what was in store for 2012. However, there was another aspect I had not considered. Being a company representative, I was going to be meeting with the reviewers.
Tuesday through Thursday I met with almost a hundred reviewers. We discussed the past, present, and future of technology, gaming, and design. They were all very astute and opinionated which sparked great discussion and debate, to the point that I lost my voice on the first day and did not regret it a bit.
In addition to the rewarding off topic discussions I had the pleasure of revealing the Switch 810 to many of the reviewers that came to our suite, the response was incredible. Knowing what we are doing here at NZXT was being noticed and enjoyed, down to every last detail, really validates our work and our effort to make innovative products.
This was my first visit to both CES and Las Vegas and spending time with reviewers was second only to meeting Penn Jillette (my last name is Teller :P). Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us and thank you for reviewing our products.

Johnny is always encouraging us to do more teamwork activities outside of work. Usually it’s paintballing or hiking, but this time I suggested that we participate in the LA City Race: Pasadena Scavenger Hunt. I’ve experienced this race once in Hollywood a few years ago, but it was quite a challenge because I knew nothing about the area. This time, I thought we would have the home court advantage since Pasadena is local for us. And there were the four of us (Johnny, Rob, Va, and myself) to better our chances. We had about 3 hours to complete 24 questions.
The rules were simple – we could use laptops/smartphones or even call a friend for answers (just like the lifelines on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire). The only thing that wasn’t permitted was for our team to split up. Once we received our packet of clues and riddles, we started right away with the bonus half of the clue, as that part was timed. It was fairly easy. We got to explore Old Town Pasadena in all its architectural glory and tempting shops – hunting for answers to the clues we were provided. NZXT came in 3rd place for the bonus points section. We were pretty excited! Next was to complete the other half of the clues. This half was a bajillion times more difficult than the bonus round. But we were up for the challenge. The clues mainly consisted of riddled historic backgrounds to the city we were in. There was a lot of Googling and calls to many friends at this point. By the time we had to meet up and submit our answers, we were exhausted and guessed the last answer we were missing. It was only a matter of time before they finished calculating scores and determining winners. Out of 13 teams, NZXT placed 8th.
All in all, it was a fun team experience. It wasn’t about winning (would’ve been nice though), but about team bonding — and physical endurance. Did I mention it was Skyrim weather in California? You know: cold, gloomy, and partially raining? Just a food for thought.

NZXT is making all your nightmares come true. Some of us are prepared to take on a zombie apocalypse, others are just plain spooky. To show our Halloween spirit, we would like you share with you guys all the spooktacular events going on at our headquarters. We currently have a costume contest going on. The votes are still being tallied and a winner has yet to be crowned. Enjoy these photos of some of the NZXT members who were awesome enough to dress up and show their Halloween spirit! Can you guys guess who they are?
It’s now the last day of assembling for PAX. We’ve spent two days setting up our exhibit and we’re exhausted. At this point, we’re fueled by excitement and anticipation. We’re near a lot of impressive companies, and we think you’ll be thrilled when we take our first live feed tour.
Scroll down to skip the write up and go straight to pictures!
Day 1, The rest of the team had a delayed flight (super bummer,) so I bummed around the airport waiting for them. Day one getting into the PAX area was enthralling. To see a lot of the displays in their early stages and the work that goes into them was electrifying.
With all the noise around, we dug into the boxes and started setting up! Never under estimate the raw man power it takes to set up one of those beasts. Wow.
Our interwebs is connected, our monitors are calibrated, our LED cables are lit up and our Phantoms are shiny as ever. We are ready for PAX tomorrow, and we will see you tomorrow!
Now time for some picture love. Excuse my photography skills, er, lack thereof. See you at PAX tomorrow!
TUNE IN TOMORROW AT 10:30AM PST TO SEE OUR LIVE FEED OF PAX!!!!
It’s been a little under a month since we launched our PAX@NZXT campaign. We have absolutely no idea where the time went, (probably playing with all the bubble wrap and stuff we were sent for PAX), but we couldn’t be more excited. We are on the home stretch of the planning and preparing, and can’t STAND the excitement any more!
With PAX RAPIDLY approaching, we wanted to remind our fans what’s on the horizon.
- With less than 2 weeks away, that means you only have a little over a week to enter for your chance at winning a Phantom! Winners will be announced the final day of PAX via our live stream.
- Get ready for our live stream! Once PAX is open, we go live! We’ll be showing you the convention and some of the craziness that happens at PAX.
- Get your friends involved. We will be giving out prizes during the stream to certain participants in the live the chat, so make sure you tune in!
That’s all! I know you’re just as excited as we are. Well, maybe not AS excited. We’re bouncing off the walls in anticipation.
See you at PAX!
We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to check out MLG last weekend! There was a lot of excitement, (and not enough PC gaming, imo.) Luckily, StarCraft tournaments were there representing the PC gaming world! There were also CoD and Halo tournaments so awesome that they might convince a PC gamer to get an Xbox. Maybe. (But probably not. FPS without a mouse a keyboard? NOTHX.) ;D
Check our album on facebook here! (It’s only visible to our fans, so make sure to like our page to see it!)
We could NOT be more excited to be launching our NZXT@PAX campaign. We’re going to be bringing you a LIVE feed from PAX showcasing NZXT sweetness, in addition to some other geek coverage. We’ll be going around every day to show you a whole tour of PAX and give you a taste of what you’re missing. PAX Prime is one of the most anticipated gaming conventions of 2011, and we’re so excited to be a part of it. Even better, we’re stoked to be able to share this awesomeness with you.
So we thought, imagine how bummed we’d be if we weren’t able to go to PAX? Imagine if there was a way to see what was going on… without actually being there? /le sigh. BUT THEN. We realized we could share our passion with the gaming community, and bring some cool ideas to an already awesome place.
To really spread the nerd love, we’re encouraging all of our fans to tweet about it from the page, post it on their facebook, their blog, wherever they can. We want as many viewers as possible! The more people watching, the more stuff we’re going to give away to people tuning into the action. We want to share it with the world, and we need your help to do that.
Tweet with the hash #nzxt@pax to be in our live twitter feed!
So you’re thinking, what’s going to happen DURING PAX? People who tweet and chat with us during the stream will win prizes, we’ll be answering life-altering NZXT questions and tweeting right back at you.
We’re stoked. Head on over here to start to get stoked with us.
